We pride ourselves on having a significant cross section of talent. Emmy nominated artists, Sundance Directors, Comedians who have appeared on the Tonight show, etc. However, we also have young aspiring artists who are here to get feedback on their work from fans as well as advice from the more experienced, successful members who have honed their trade. This is a community for those who are ready to take it to the next level and get additional exposure as well as newer artists that are ready to learn the ropes, collaborate with more experienced members, and get their first moment in the spotlight.

Absolutely - you need exposure, if you have rights to your music, photos, artwork, film or manuscript - let’s get it up on the site. You post, we’ll drive the fans and industry here!

I’M JUST STARTING OUT ... IS THIS JUST FOR THE ESTABLISHED ARTISTS?
TalentMatch is a community built to support artists across all genres and levels of talent. This is a terrific opportunity for student, amateur and accomplished talent. This is a community for those who are ready to take it to the next level and get exposure – as well as younger artists who are looking to collaborate with artists and industry to learn the ropes. We encourage our artists to collaborate and support one another.

I’M AN ACTOR WHO DOES MODELING AND I’M A TERRIFIC ARTIST - PHOTOGRAPHER! CAN I INCLUDE ALL OF MY TALENTS IN MY PORTFOLIO OR DO I NEED SEPARATE ACCOUNTS
Your portfolio includes the ability to identify 3 talents... so you can select 3 different categories, with 4 different genres... or you may select the same categories with different genres. However, if you would like to have a talent and Industry account - or a Fan & Talent, you will require 2 accounts, (and 2 separate email addresses; sorry - only 1 account per email address).

CAN I UPLOAD A COVER SONG OR REMIX?
TalentMatch.com does not permit copyrighted audio or video samples or artwork from movies, television programs, videos, games, radio or CDs to be uploaded without prior written permission from the copyright holder(s). If you are uploading a remix of another artist's recording, you must obtain prior written permission from both the owner of the original recording and the owner of the underlying musical composition. Tracks determined to be "pirated" recordings will be deleted as will the Talent Portfolio. Cover songs are allowed but only after you obtain all necessary license(s) from the publisher(s) of that song. You should be able to identify the publisher(s) of most songs by examining liner notes of recordings containing that song or by searching one or more publicly accessible online databases, such as the U.S. Copyright Office's Copyright Catalog of Music, ASCAP's ACE Database and BMI's Repertoire Search. The type of license(s) you will need depends upon how you intend to make the cover song available. TalentMatch reserves the right to require proof that you secured a valid license pertaining to any cover song uploaded to the web site.

CAN I SELL MY MERCHANDISE ON THE SITE? WILL TALENTMATCH TAKE A CUT?
Yes, and No. You are welcome to sell your Talent related products. If you have some good swag... send us a sample, we’re always looking for cool stuff to wear on weekends or to clutter up our offices! Please... no Amway, vitamins, pork sausage or non-talent related products. And no…we won’t take a cut of your sales.

AS TALENT, DO I NEED TO SIGN AN ARTIST CONTRACT OR DOES TALENTMATCH GET FIRST RIGHTS ON ME IF I GET SIGNED OR BREAKTHROUGH?
No. We are here to help, not to sponge off of your success! We’ll just do back flips and hope you send us tickets to your first performance - or you can invite us to a big Hollywood party. Lets hope you are a success and we’ll add you to our Hall of Fame to inspire others!

I’M NOT GRANTING YOU OWNERSHIP OF MY MATERIAL BY SIGNING UP AM I?
No. Our Terms of Use grants TalentMatch full permission to use the materials/content you post on a non-exclusive basis in any way we see fit (such as a part of a Site advertising campaign or marketing promotion), an example of this is our commitment to including artists in our advertising, as seen recently in a Variety Magazine campaign, featuring talent from TalentMatch. REST ASSURED that we cannot and will not sell your materials/content. You retain full ownership of your materials/content.

WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE A CREDIT CARD?
Paying by check is available only to United States residents and must be drawn from a U.S. bank. Money orders are welcome from anyone if they are in U.S. funds.
