| 1920s,30s,40s jazz and swing:
Aptly named(after C17 composer) Orlando follows in the wonderful tradition of stylish vocalists who have provided that most personal,literal, and communicative link between the bandstand and the dance floor.He is indeed a worthy torchbearer of that great craft, the old-style crooner/pop singer. He has developed a real warmth and tonal quality in a voice that gives an expressive emphasis and relaxed elegance to his seamless phrasing and diction,combining as he does, his music with practice at the English Criminal Bar.
Equally comfortable fronting a big band as leading a more intimate quintet,or even a quartet,Orlando's impeccable stage presence and deportment, and sophisticated use of the microphone would grace any setting.He counts amongst his vocal influences, Billie Holiday,Louis Armstrong and,above all else, Frank Sinatra. A real class act. Orlando is available for Themed Balls, Weddings,Society Functions,Country House Parties,Film and incidental music, and studio session work.
