| Basically I play a little of everything. My first & favorite is Fingerstyle Guitar, Classical to Flamenco, foot stomping Country Delta Blues, and I play Bass and sing in a classic rock band. And I do some promoting and booking on the side. I run jam sessions when the $$$ are low or rent out my equipment. I also run sound every now and then. I'm a jam junkie. If there is live music somewhere, I'm there. Been playing various instruments for 37 years. Played on my front porch until about 6 years ago, and had bad stage fright until 3 years ago. Woke up one day and it was gone. Guess I made enough mistakes on stage to finally get over it! ha! Played with two other acoustic guitarists in a group called "TRIPLET" (great harmonies), and then after that played with Joe Parrish in "We're Robbin' Joe" coffee shop stuff, songs that tell stories. Every now and then I sit in with a R&B band " Zafaja" and also with a blues band "Ray Drew". Now I'm with a band called "Under The Gun", working steady, every week. But what I really want to do is sing Jazz with a band behind me, (it's alot easier than playing bass and singing at the same time) I want to hang out with Norah Jones some time. She Rocks! I want to go to Mexico and play with real Flamenco and Malaguena players. I want to compete in the Walnut Valley Flatpickers Championship. And where is Monty Montgomery? Amazing. I've only seen him once on Austin City Limits and cannot locate any more of his work. Well that's enough about me. |
