 |
 |
| Narrative |
 |
| October 2003 European Tour:
10/23 - GRENOBLE (FRANCE)
10/24 - MILAN (ITALY)
10/25 - COLOGNE (GERMANY)
10/26 - THESSALONIKI (GREECE)
10/27 - ATHENS (GREECE)
This Seattle-based band, originally formed in 1984, is regarded as a pioneer of the power metal and progressive metal genres by their generally European fanbase. Their first album, "Graceful Inheritance", (1986) was only released in Europe, where the band toured in the summer of 1986.
After 17 years, "Graceful Inheritance" remains the highest rated heavy metal album in the history of Germany's ROCK HARD magazine (Europe's largest).
After the addition of a keyboardist and new vocalist, HEIR APPARENT released their second album, "One Small Voice" in 1989 on Metal Blade/CAPITOL. This album is widely regarded as a classic in the Progressive Metal genre. In 1999, "G.I." was reissued along with a compilation of rare demos on CD, titled "TRIAD", by Hellion Records in Germany. HEIR APPARENT reunited to perform in concert at Germany's Wacken Open Air Festival in 2000. Currently, HEIR APPARENT is writing a new album, with hopes for more touring abroad, as well as developing their fanbase in the US.
The current members are: Founder/guitarist Terry Gorle; bassist Bobby Ferkovich; drummer Doug Marrapodi; and vocalist Peter Orullian. |
